fiddly, fiddlier, fiddliest

holy moley, the bohus blue shimmer hat was easy peasy compared to the bohus blue shimmer scarf!

it's beautiful, but i don't think i've ever knit anything fiddlier.
back and forth knitting, so many ends to weave in after, purl rows with 3 different colors, gah!

yesterday i wore my contacts, which i hardly ever do, ah vanity.
today my left eye is red and sore, if it isn't better by tomorrow i'll call the dr.

this sandy feeling eye is not condusive to the bohus, thank the fsm i had the foresight to pack many knitting options before i came down to fort lauderdale.

i had promised dd that she could have this socks that rock fire on the mountain.
too bad, so sad. perfect booboo knitting, the colors are fabo , and the k2p2 rib is very soothing.

Lucky dd with the STR! Poor you with the scratchy eye. Maybe flotsom fiber under contact? Hope that's all and it will wash out.

Your poor eye! Isn't there angora in the bohus yarn? I wonder if an angora floater got between your eye and your contact and scratched your cornea a bit? I hope it feels better soon. But your Bohus looks lovely.

Glad you brought some backup knitting!

I'm with Melanie, I am totally jealous of your last Saturday Sky photo. Evergreens and grey sky just can't compete.

Sorry your eye is sore. Is purling in three colors better or worse than M*rta Stina? ;)

Vanessa, I got the itchy eye too when I was knitting the body of my Bohus (the only part where I didn't need to see and wasn't wearing my glasses) so your eye thingy definitely could be due to a Bunny Fur Attack. The scarf is looking beautiful though and don't forget: suffering for art is noble. ;-)

I gave up contacts years ago. It is way too DRY in Colorado. Hope your eye gets better since I know that is no fun at all.

I don't blame DD for loving that STR colorway! Lucky girl! My daughter just finished knitting her first pair of socks and is hooked so now I expect her to gift me with some socks instead of the other way round!

Take care of that eye! That used to happen to me when I wore contacts, too--which is why I'm a glasses wearer now.

Would knitting/purling back backwards help with the Bohus scarf? It's gonna be gorgeous no matter how fiddly it is to work.

Fiddly indeed, but gorgeous!! Stranded purling in 3 color rows - a brave woman you are.

Hope your eyes feel better! A little comfort knitting in a striking colorway sounds like just the ticket. :)

A bohus scarf? Now that does sound fiddly! The hat is very pretty. And I love that Fire On The Mountain. The colors are so inspiring! Lucky child to receive those.

Angora makes me all itchy, so I'm with the other commenters on that one...

My trip to Florida was jampacked with the professor's butterfly research but I thought of you often! If I go again with him, I will try to find a way to meet up with you, if that works out for you..I'd love to visit with your flame fingers! (and the rest of you, of course)

Yeowch - hope the eye is feeling better soon, Vanessa. I know the bunny fluff gives many folks trouble. Glad to hear that you had something more soothing to work on - great color!
